Collaborating Institutes

The ASADWA International Conference is a joint activity of the Ghent University based UNESCO Chair of Eremology, the UNESCO Center CAZALAC and the Global Network on Water and Development Information for Arid Lands (G-WADI), and is supported by the Chilean National Comittee of the UNESCO International Hydrological Programme (CONAPHI) and The Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV).

The ASADWA conference is endorsed as a LANDCON meeting by the World Association of Soil and Water Conservation (WASWAC), and as such offers free guest memebrship for one year to all attending participants as well as a dissemination platform for final peer-reviewed articles and conference results.

ASADWA is a recognized activity within the Universal Forum of Cultures, organized from Octobre 22 2010 until January 7 2011 in Valparaiso, that promotes sustainable development, as well as knowledge, peace and cultural diversity. As a result, the conference will be enhanced with activities that encourage interaction with all sectors affected by water management and sustainable development. These activities will be posted at this website on a later date.
